The IRS has not escaped the craziness of the year that we have all had together. To date we have received over 30 “love notes” on behalf of our clients from the IRS, who seem to be confused at best. I have spoken to a number of agents who keep assuring me that they are working on updating the system to prevent a storm of “love notes” from flooding the postal service. If you do receive a letter please do not panic. Scan and e-mail, drop off, or regular mail the letter to us so that we can research what happened to trigger your particular letter and so that we can take corrective measures to resolve it. This is just another in a long line of interesting events this year!
